Slackline is a hobby, a sport, a tool, and for those who choose it to be; a lifestyle. Highlines seem to be a different world than any other from of slackline. Low lining takes time and determination, but highline demands a completely different style of physical focus through mental focus. It’s not uncommon to hear people say walking their first highline is the best experience of their life. Here is a clip of my newly established highline near boulder!

One of the coolest things about slackline at the moment is that a lot of styles of movement on and off the line have not been fully explored.
Here is a link to one of the latest slackline sessions me and a few boulder locals were having on the Gibbon Jib Line!

I traveled to Kentucky to visit the Red River Gorge where I represented Gibbon at the ROCKTOBERFEST 2009! I set up two lines by putting stakes in the ground, tightening the line between the steaks and raising it by running the line over 2 stumps, and 2 easyUP stools.
Hundreds of people showed up to help the Red River Gorge Climbing Coalition (RRGCC) raise a part of the $36,000 yearly mortgage needed to protect the beautiful Red River Gorge! This money goes to preserving some of the nations most spectacular climbing locations.
Many of those who came to help also ended up slacklining! Watch and enjoy as people take their first shots at walking the GIBBON slackline!
Thank you to everyone who pitched into the Rocktoberfest! I will see you all and bring Gibbon along again next year!~

I traveled to Arcata, CA to host the 2nd Annual Humboldt Classic Slackline Competition in early October! Slackliners from around the US, and even a few from outside the country came to test their skills against the most skilled slackliners around. With more than $2500 of prizes, not including a trip to Europe Sponsored by GIBBON, the competition was filled with palm sweating tension as big spins, huge flips, and technical slackline maneuvers awed the crowd! Check out the video at the link below!
Thanks again to GIBBON for their HUGE contribution to the success of The Humboldt Classic!

Today I celebrated my 23rd birthday with my first ever base jump out of a hot air balloon from 500ft just past sunrise =) My Gibbon sweatshirt kept me warm the whole time!
